Is Christianity the only "true" religion?

Lots of people think that most world religions are basically the same. Barna Research asked a large group of Born Again Christians in 2009 to comment on the following statement:

Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and others all pray to the same God, even though they use different names for that God.

30% agreed strongly
18% agreed somewhat
12% did not know

Shocking, isn't it? Political correctness is alive and well in the Church.

In a 2008 Pew Forum study, 52% of American Christians think that at least some non-Christian faiths can lead to eternal life. What?

Another Barna study asked self-identified Christians if they thought the Bible, the Book of Mormon and the Qur'an were just different expressions of the same spiritual truths.

19% agreed strongly
2% agreed somewhat

The truth is this:

Christianity is the only true religion...the only true faith.

Is truth relative...or is it absolute? If it is absolute, where do you find it?

Absolute Truth Exists and you find it in the Bible!

None of this, "truth is relative" junk...or "what's true for you is not necessarily what's true for me". YOU don't decide truth...GOD DOES.

"The Bible is inspired & accurate" seems to ring a lot of bells these days! Six literal days of creation? A worldwide flood? Moses parts the Red Sea? The walls of Jericho came tumbling down? Sodom & Gomorrah destroyed by fire & brimstone from Heaven? Jesus rose from the dead?

Should we take all these things literally, or are they just stories to teach valuable truths?

82% of Americans claim to be Christians...but when you start to talk about certain truth claims of the Bible, many of those so-called Christians get rather upset, not to mention unbelievers and/or people of other faiths.

What do YOU think are the most unpopular Christian claims and WHY are they unpopular? What is it about these claims that upsets people? Why are so many of us afraid to stand boldly on these claims in public or when questioned by friends and family?

New mosque 2 blocks from Ground Zero?

The 100 million dollar mosque & cultural center will be built just two blocks from Ground Zero. Is that offensive to you or a step in the right direction for diversity & tolerance? Does it dishonor those who died on 9/11 or is it somehow a "good thing"?

What do I think? I think it's offensive and purposeful and sends a loud message to radical Muslims all over the world that America is ripe for the picking...but that's just me. Am I just another intolerant, angry, white, Bible-thumping male? Hmmm...

Are you worried about the Supreme Court?

Obama is poised to set the direction of the Supreme Court for the next 30+ years...does that worry you? It should!

The "Highest Court in the Land" could turn out to be one of America's greatest domestic threats...if Obama gets his way. Are you worried, or is it no big deal?

How can we be generous?

The Bible makes it perfectly clear; we are to be GENEROUS people...but the facts, unfortunately, prove otherwise.

Less than 10% of believers tithe.
We give less than 3% of our income to charities and church vs. 5% to entertain ourselves.
Many of us cheat on our taxes and live right up to or beyond our means.

My guests today run GENEROUS COMMUNITY and next week they have organized GENEROUS WEEKEND...an opportunity to be generous in YOUR community.

Does "social justice" require Socialism?

The poor...the needy...the helpless...the unemployed...those without healthcare. These are the so-called "Social Justice" items that Glenn Beck recently linked to socialism.

Does "social justice" require socialism? Is it "the right thing to do" for the government? Is it "the Christian thing to do"? Our government is exploding in size, mostly due to these social justice issues...is it right? Is it Socialism?

Is Glenn Beck a dangerous man?

He's a major conservative...a warrior against liberalism and the progressive agenda...he talks a great "God talk"...is Glenn Beck a Great American or a Dangerous Man?

Mormonism is NOT Christian...so is Glenn's influence as a Mormon dangerous?
